Retrofit
Assessments & Co-ordination.
What is a retrofit assessor?
The role of the Retrofit Assessor is to assess your homes energy efficiency rating through the collection of data relating to the functionality and energy efficiency. Retrofit assessors complete a survey of your property and prepare a report in-line with a Retrofit Coordinator's requirements. This report includes a full EPC (energy performance certificate), a ventilation assessment, an occupancy assessment and a property condition survey.
What is a retrofit coordinator?
An independent Retrofit Coordinator is responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing any risks commonly associated with domestic retrofit projects. This includes overseeing the design, specification and subsequent post-installation monitoring and evaluation of energy efficiency measures in accordance with PAS 2035:2019. Once a coordinator has approved the survey submitted by the assessor, they allow us to install the energy efficient measures.
What are assessors and coordinators important?
PAS 2035 states you need to have a Retrofit Coordinator with a Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management to oversee each retrofit project in order to maintain the highest standards possible. Without the relevant assessors and coordinators input on each project, government funding will not be granted for home improvements.
